The PTH08T230WAZ is a 1-output 33W surface-mount non-isolated adjust Power Module with TurboTrans™. The PTH08T230W is the higher input voltage (4.5 to 14V) version of the PTH04T230W (2.2 to 5.5V), 6A rated, non-isolated power module. This regulator represents the 2nd generation of the PTH series of power modules which include a reduced footprint and improved features. Operating from an input voltage range of 4.5 to 14V, the PTH08T230W requires a single resistor to set the output voltage to any value over the range, 0.69 to 5.5V. The wide input voltage range makes the PTH08T230W particularly suitable for advanced computing and server applications that use a loosely regulated 8 to 12V intermediate distribution bus. Additionally, the wide input voltage range increases design flexibility by supporting operation with tightly regulated 5, 8 or 12V intermediate bus architectures.
