AD7785 is a 3-channel, low noise, low power, 20bit ∑-Δ ADC with on-chip in-Amp and reference. It is a complete analogue front end for high precision measurement applications. The on-chip, low noise instrumentation amplifier means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC. With a gain setting of 64, the rms noise is 40nV when the update rate equals 4.17Hz. The device contains a precision low noise, low drift internal band gap reference and can accept an external differential reference. Other on-chip features include programmable excitation current sources, burnout currents, and a bias voltage generator. The bias voltage generator sets the common-mode voltage of a channel to AVDD/2. Application includes thermocouple measurements, RTD measurements, thermistor measurements, gas analysis, industrial process control, instrumentation, portable instrumentation, blood analysis, smart transmitters, liquid/gas chromatography, 6-digit DVM.

- Maximum integral nonlinearity is ±15ppm of FSR (AVDD = 2.7 to 5.25V, DVDD = 2.7 to 5.25V)
- Typical offset error is ±1μV (AVDD = 2.7V to 5.25V, DVDD = 2.7V to 5.25V)
- Typical gain drift vs. temperature is ±1ppm/°C (gain = 1 to 16, external reference)
- Minimum power supply rejection is 100dB (AIN = 1 V/gain, gain ≥ 4, external reference)
- Minimum common-mode voltage is 0.5V (VCM = (AIN(+) + AIN(−))/2, gain = 4 to 128)
- Maximum average input current is ±1nA (Gain = 1 or 2, update rate <lt/> 100Hz)
- Typical average input current drift is ±2 (AVDD = 2.7V to 5.25V, DVDD = 2.7V to 5.25V)
- 16 lead TSSOP package, operating temperature range from -40 to +105°C
