ADUM1401 is a quad-channel digital isolator. It is based on Analog Devices, Inc., icoupler® technology. This isolator component provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocoupler device. This isolator provide four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates. It is mainly used in application such as general-purpose multichannel isolation, SPI interface and data converter isolation, RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers, industrial field bus isolation, automotive systems. This isolator is approved by UL recognition: 2500V rms for 1 minute per UL 1577, CSA component acceptance notice 5A, VDE certificate of conformity, DIN V VDE V 0884-10 (VDE V 0884-10):2006-12, VIORM = 560V peak, TÜV approval: IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-1.

- Low power operation, bidirectional communication
- 3V/5V level translation, high temperature operation is 125°C
- Output enable function, high common-mode transient immunity is <gt/>25kV/μs
- Number of inputs in VDD1 side is 3, number of inputs in VDD2 side is 1
- Maximum data rate is 10Mbps, operating temperature range is −40°C to +105°C
- Maximum propagation delay is 50ns (at 5V)
- Maximum pulse width distortion is 3ns
- Package style is 16-lead wide SOIC
