ADuM7643 is a 6-channel digital isolator based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. This 1KV digital isolation device is packaged in a small 20-lead QSOP. It offers space savings and a lower price than 2.5KV or 5KV isolation solutions when only functional isolation is needed. This family, like many Analog Devices isolators, offers very low power consumption, using one-tenth to one-sixth the power of other digital isolators, with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 3.0V to 5.5V. Despite their low power consumption, the device provides low pulse width distortion (<lt/> 6ns for C grade) and a channel-by-channel glitch filter to protect the device against extraneous noise disturbances. The product has a default output high logic state in the absence of input power. Applications include general-purpose, multichannel isolation, SPI interface/data converter isolation, RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers and industrial field bus isolation.
