The MAX4173TEUT+T is a low cost, voltage output, high side current sense amplifier in 6 pin SOT-23 package. This precision and compact current sense amplifier features voltage output that eliminates need for gain setting resistors and it is ideal for many applications where current monitoring is critical. High side current monitoring is especially useful in battery powered systems, since it does not interfere with ground path of battery charger. The input common mode range ensures that current sense feedback remains viable even when connected to a battery in deep discharge. The wide 1.7MHz bandwidth of MAX4173T makes it suitable for use inside battery charger control loops. It has full scale current reading feature which offers a high level of integration resulting in simple and compact current sense solution. It is used in power management systems, general/board level current monitoring, PA bias control and precision current sources.

- High accuracy +2V to +28V common mode range, functional down to 0V, independent of supply voltage
- Gain of +20V/V and ±0.5% full scale accuracy
- Common mode rejection (CMR) of 90dB
- Input bias current of 100μA at VRS≤ +2V
- Power supply rejection (PSR) of 84dB (VSENSE = 80mV, VRS+ ≥ +2V)
- Supply current of 420μA
- Input offset voltage of 0.3mV at TA = +25°C, VRS+ = 12V
