The MAX7408CUA+T is a 5th-order, low pass, elliptic, switched-capacitor filter in 8 pin µMAX package. The device draws only 1.2mA of supply current and allows corner frequencies from 1Hz to 15KHz, making it ideal for low power post DAC filtering and anti-aliasing applications. It can be put into a low power mode, reducing supply current to 0.2µA. This device delivers 53dB of stopband rejection and a sharp roll-off with a transition ratio of 1.6. It has two clocking options like self-clocking (through the use of an external capacitor) or external clocking for tighter corner frequency control. MAX7408 is typically used for post-DAC filtering, speech processing, CT2 base stations and anti-aliasing applications.

- Single +5V supply operation, transition ratio r = 1.6
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C, PSRR of 70dB
- Low noise and distortion is -80dB THD + noise
- Low power of 1.2mA ( operating mode) and 0.2µA (shutdown mode)
- Clock tunable corner frequency (1Hz to 15KHz), clock to corner tempco is 10ppm/°C
- Clock to corner frequency ratio is 100:1, offset voltage gain is 1V/V
- Offset adjust pin for DC output level adjustments
- Low output offset is ±4mV
