AD5542 is a single channel, 16-bit, serial input, voltage output digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). It operate from a single supply of 2.7V to 5.5V. The DAC output range extends from 0V to VREF. The device can be operated in bipolar mode, which generates a ±VREF output swing. The device also includes kelvin sense connections for the reference and analogue ground pins to reduce layout sensitivity. The device utilizes a versatile 3-wire interface that is compatible with SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™ and DSP interface standards. It is widely used in application such as digital gain and offset adjustment, automatic test equipment, data acquisition systems, industrial process control etc.
- Low power dissipation is 0.625mW
- Settling time is 1µs, slew rate is 17V/μs
- Unbuffered voltage output capable of driving 60Kohm loads directly
- Power-on reset clears DAC output to 0V (unipolar mode)
- 5kV HBM ESD classification, reference −3dB bandwidth is 2.2MHz
- Low glitch is 1.1nV-sec, output noise is 0.134µV p-p at (0.1Hz to 10Hz)
- Relative accuracy (INL) is ±1LSB
- Differential nonlinearity (DNL) is ±1LSB
- Operating temperature range is −40°C to +85°C
- Package style is 14-lead SOIC-N
