AD5680 is a nanoDAC family single, 18bit buffered voltage-out digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). It requires an external reference voltage to set the output range of the DAC. The low power consumption of this part in normal operation makes it ideally suited to portable battery-operated equipment. This on-chip precision output amplifier allows rail-to rail output swing to be achieved. For remote sensing applications, the output amplifier’s inverting input is available to the user. It uses a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 30 MHz, and is compatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. Application includes closed-loop process control, low bandwidth data acquisition systems, portable battery-powered instruments, gain and offset adjustment, precision setpoint control.

- Full-scale error is -0.2% FSR (typ, all 1s loaded to DAC register)
- Offset error is ±10mV (max, VDD = 4.5V to 5.5V, RL = 2kohm to GND)
- Gain error is ±1.5% FSR (max, VDD = 4.5V to 5.5V, RL = 2kohm to GND)
- Zero-code error drift is ±2μV/°C (typ, VDD = 4.5V to 5.5V, all 0s loaded to DAC register)
- Gain temperature coefficient is ±2.5ppm (typ, VDD = 4.5V to 5.5V, of FSR/°C)
- 8 lead SOT-23 package, operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
