AD9778ABSVZ is a 14-high dynamic range digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) that provides a sample rate of 1GSPS, permitting a multicarrier generation up to the Nyquist frequency. It includes features optimized for direct conversion transmission applications, including complex digital modulation and gain and offset compensation. A 3-wire interface provides for programming/readback of many internal parameters. Full-scale output current can be programmed over a range of 10mA to 30mA. This device is manufactured on an advanced 0.18μm CMOS process and operates on 1.8V and 3.3V supplies for a total power consumption of 1W. Applications include wireless infrastructure W-CDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA, WiMax, GSM, LTE, digital high or low IF synthesis, internal digital upconversion capability, transmit diversity, wideband communications: LMDS/MMDS, point-to-point.

- Spurious free dynamic range is 82dBc typical at (fDAC = 100MSPS, fOUT = 20MHz)
- Output resistance is 10Mohm typical at (AVDD33 = 3.3V, DVDD33 = 3.3V)
- Power down mode is 2.5mW typical at (AVDD33 = 3.3V, DVDD33 = 3.3V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
- 100-lead TQFP-EP package
