The MAX2605EUT+T is a 45MHz to 70MHz, integrated intermediate frequency (IF) voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) with differential output in 6 pin SOT-23 package. It is designed specifically for demanding portable wireless communication systems. This compact, high performance IF VCO combines monolithic construction with low noise and low power operation in tiny SOT-23 package. It has an on-chip varactor and feedback capacitors that eliminate the need for external tuning elements making the MAX2605 ideal for portable systems. Only an external inductor is required to set oscillation frequency. In addition, an integrated differential output buffer is provided for driving mixer or prescaler. It also provides isolation from load impedance variations. The MAX2605 is used in cellular and PCS mobile phones, general purpose IF oscillators, GPS receivers, land mobile radio, 902MHz to 928MHz ISM band and 2.4GHz ISM band applications.

- Frequency limits (relative to nominal) of -4.1% to 3.2% at TA = +25°C
- On-chip temperature stable bias
- Low current operation
- Supply current of 1.9mA at TA = +25°C and supply pushing of 60KHz/V
- DC output current of 1mA, TUNE input current of 0.03nA
