MAX3465CSD+

The MAX3465CSD+ is a +5V, fail-safe, profibus RS485/RS422 transceiver in 14 pin NSOIC package. This high speed and full duplex differential bus transceiver is designed to meet TIA/EIA-422-B, TIA/EIA-485-A, V.11 and X.27 standards. It complies with profibus specification providing +2.1V minimum output level with 54ohm load and 40Mbps data rate. The MAX3465 contains one three state differential line driver and one differential input line receiver. The device operates from +5V supply and features true fail-safe circuitry which provides logic high receiver output when receiver inputs are open or shorted. This enables all receiver outputs on a terminated bus to output logic highs when all transmitters are disabled. It has 1/4 standard unit load receiver input impedance that allows 128 transceivers on the bus. The driver and receiver has active-high and active-low enables respectively and can be connected together externally to serve as a direction control. It is used in level translators.
