The Raspberry Pi 5 improves on its predecessor with a 2-3x increase in CPU performance plus a significant uplift in GPU performance, alongside enhancements to camera, display, and USB interfacing.
2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM models are available, supported by a comprehensive range of new accessories.
The Raspberry Pi 5 board features a 2.4GHz quad-core, 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 CPU, with 512KB L2 caches and a 2MB shared L3 cache, along with a VideoCore VII GPU. A Micro SD card slot is provided, with support for high-speed SDR104 mode. Communication is via Bluetooth 5.0/Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), as well as 2 x USB 3.0 ports supporting simultaneous 5Gbps operation, and 2 x USB 2.0 ports. Gigabit Ethernet with PoE is available with a PoE+ HAT.
Further I/O comprises 2 x 4 lane MIPI camera/display transceivers, and a PCIe 2.0 interface for fast peripherals. Other features include 5V/5A power operation (PD enabled), Raspberry Pi standard 40-pin header, powered Real Time Clock (RTC), and on-board power button.
