APGDT001 LIN serial analyser development system enables a personal computer (PC) to communicate with a LIN (Local Interface Network) bus as a network debug and analysis tool. The LINSA can reside on the bus as a host, server or non-intrusive snooper. The included PC program uses a graphical user interface to enter and display message frames occurring on the target bus. The LIN serial analyser consists of several components, that together, make a network debug and analysis tool. The user interface program runs on Microsoft® Windows® operating system compatible computers with a USB port. The LIN serial analyser connects to the PC using a mini-B USB cable. It interfaces to the target network using a three-position, screw-type terminal block. This is a powerful tool which can be used to send messages, monitor the bus traffic, perform errors checks and filter messages amongst many other features, allowing the user to develop and debug the system implementation.
